Warsaw – Raw, surprising, and full of character

Two months ago, I started my journey at FAME Travel Designers. In this short time, I’ve learned so much from my colleagues — by shadowing them on other incentive trips and listening to their experience and insights. Thanks to that valuable start, I felt fully prepared to successfully deliver my very first solo project.

Warsaw. A city that might not be on everyone’s radar, but that’s exactly why it makes such an impact. A place where history is tangible, and where modern creativity breathes new life into every district. For this first project, I had the chance to truly get to know this fascinating city — and experience it together with the group.

A warm welcome and a flavorful start

Upon arrival at the airport, we headed straight to Hala Koszyki, a vibrant food hall where authentic Polish dishes meet international cuisines. The perfect spot to get our first taste of Warsaw — relaxed, lively, and full of flavor.

After a short walk to the hotel and some time to freshen up, it was time to dive into our first activity:

“Experience Warsaw – Past, Present, Future”

During this tour, we explored the many faces of the city: the former Jewish district, with iconic locations from the Oscar-winning film The Pianist, monumental architecture from the communist era, and as a literal highlight: the panoramic view from the top of the Palace of Culture and Science, offering breathtaking views over the city. An ideal introduction to Warsaw, showcasing its most diverse sides.

Culinary delights in style

In the evening, we took the metro to a cozy and stylish dinner spot. In a characterful restaurant, we enjoyed a delicious meal — an evening filled with warm conversations, atmosphere, and the first sense of true connection within the group.

A day full of contrast

The next day began with an early breakfast, followed by a company visit just outside Warsaw. Afterward, we enjoyed a relaxing riverside lunch before heading back to the city. The late afternoon offered some free time to unwind.

In the evening, a typical Polish “cucumber bus” surprised the group for the transfer to dinner. A ride full of nostalgia and humor — and definitely the talk of the evening. The restaurant that followed perfectly combined atmosphere, quality, and coziness.

An original finale

The last day kicked off with a rally through the city in colorful Soviet-era cars — a playful way to explore Warsaw at each team’s own pace. This was followed by a Polish food tour lunch, featuring tastings of local classics.

As the cherry on top, we visited the Vodka Museum, including a guided tour and a tasting of three different vodkas. The rest of the afternoon was free for participants to explore the city on their own before we headed to the airport.

An incentive with many layers

Warsaw truly surprised me. Not only through the content of the program, but also through the city’s rhythm, energy, and character. From its raw past to its fresh creativity — Warsaw doesn’t tell a polished story, but a real one. And that’s exactly what made this incentive project so special.

It was also amazing to see how happy everyone was — and that many are already looking forward to the next incentive trip!

I’m incredibly proud of this first solo experience — and even more excited for what’s to come!
