If you ask me about my all-time favourite incentive activity, my answer is simple: a bike ride.
It might not sound spectacular at first, but trust me, it’s the best way to truly experience a destination. On a bike, you feel the surroundings: the scents, the sounds, the little moments along the way. No other activity captures a place quite like it. Every destination tells its own story, pedal by pedal.
My two absolute favourites for organising a bike ride? Bali and Lapland.
Two complete opposites, yet both prove that a bike ride is never just a bike ride.
In Bali, you cycle past shimmering rice terraces and through small villages where life moves slowly and every view looks like it belongs on a postcard. It’s calming, warm and active at the same time. Perfect for those seeking both connection and relaxation.
In Lapland, on the other hand, the bike transforms into a snowbike or fatbike – literally a bike with extra-wide tires. You glide through silent forests, across frozen lakes and, if you’re lucky, beneath the dancing northern lights. It’s all about adventure, adrenaline and sharing something extraordinary together. Staying upright and not falling into the snow again might just be the biggest challenge.
Whether you’re pedalling through tropical green or floating through a snowy wonderland, cycling brings people together. It’s active and mindful – the perfect chance to chat, laugh and connect along the way. It’s also ideal for small to medium-sized groups (around 8 to 25 people): big enough to enjoy together, yet small enough to truly feel that sense of connection.
